Ascension Seton opens Bump to Baby Boutique to support new mothers with clothing needs

AUSTIN, Texas —Ascension Seton Medical Center launches a new way to serve mothers and their families
The Ascension Compassion Closet, which has been renamed the Bump to Baby Boutique, is a clothing rethose in need

This initiative was created after staff noticed an increase in patients who did not have clean clothes after delivering their babies at the hospital
The closet addresses the immediate clothing needs of patients, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances
Claire Vences, Mother Baby Nursing Supervisor at Ascension Seton Medical Center, said, “Some of the things that we offer our patients… is really important.”
The closet opened in December and has already served more than 20 families
