At Copenhagen Fashion Week, The Early 2000s Reigned Supreme

We find tons of inspiration during Copenhagen Fashion Week. From the trends we spot on the streets to the immediately imitable outfits that make their way down the runway, the Danish city’s fashion week always earns a spot on our moodboards. This season, for Spring/Summer 2027, the runways offered us tons of ideas for spicing up our accessory rotation—swapping big beads for petite options, adding fringed cumberbunds to every look, and bringing back the headbands we wore during the early aughts, to name a few. These CPHFW-approved accessory trends prove that accessories don’t have to be loud or overbearing. Rather, they’re small tweaks that make a big impact, adding personality and polish to every kind of outfit. Ahead, find the five accessory trends we’re adding to our wardrobe ASAP—and will plan to wear from here on out.

We’ve seen statement necklaces everywhere lately, from the tassel necklaces that have taken over New York city to the colorful, chunky beaded necklaces that take a beach ensemble to the next level. But, on the Spring/Summer 2027 runways in Copenhagen, brands made the case for delicate beaded options. Small, but mighty, these petite beaded necklaces add an aura of elegance to a simple look, adding intentionality to the look without feeling overbearing.

We’re not new to fringe—it’s been a mainstay for the fashion set since Fall/Winter 2025. But, the designers at Copenhagen Fashion Week made it feel fresh for Spring/Summer 2027 by introducing us to the fringed cummerbunds. Whether in the form of a silk scarf tied around the waist or in proper cumberbund form (thank you, By Malene Birger), the style breaks up an outfit and adds a touch of fun

We’re always keeping an eye out for sunglasses trends, and the transparent lens trend from CPHFW immediately captured our attention. Many of the brands that showed in Copenhagen leaned into brown, see-through lenses, grounding outfits while adding an edge factor

Headbands were beloved in the early 2000s, and to our surprise, they’re making a major comeback. On the Spring/Summer 2027 runways in Copenhagen, both big and small headbands made an appearance. Most came in neutral shades—black and white, notably—and added a sleekness to updos

You’ve likely heard of (or even experimented with) oversized earrings. But for Spring/Summer 2027, they were taken to new heights. On the runways, models adorned chin-grazing earrings that took up almost half the face. These eye-catching styles draw the attention upward, and while we’re always focused on the clothes, this may be a Scandi style hack for drawing attention to the face
