LAAM Fashion Week returns with 43 shows and a broader designer line-up

LAAM Fashion Week (LFW) will return to Lahore from October 23 to 26 for its second edition, bringing together established designers, high-street labels, independent creatives, manufacturing-led businesses and emerging talent

Co-created by LAAM and Design651, the event follows a runway-to-retail model, linking fashion presentations with online discovery and shopping. Season 2 draws on the reach of the LAAM platform, which has surpassed 5 million app downloads, has more than 25 million active users and 6 million shoppers worldwide. The platform features over 4,000 active brands and designers and 250,000 products, with deliveries to more than 1,200 cities and a social media reach of more than 600 million.

Speaking about Season 2, Arif Iqbal, Co-Founder & CEO, LAAM, said, “LAAM’s mission is to showcase the best of Pakistani fashion to the world. LAAMFashion Week carries that mission onto the runway by highlighting the creativity and innovation of the country’s top talent. That’s why we’re building LFW into an institution.”

Across four days, 43 shows will feature more than 50 established fashion labels alongside emerging designers and retail-focused brands

The programme combines individual designer showcases with dedicated segments for retail and new talent, while the collections include bridalwear, couture, occasionwear, mens-wear and contemporary design

Participating names include Ali Xeeshan, Deepak Perwani, Duno by Hassan and Yahsir Waheed, Emraan Rajput, Erum Khan, Fahad Hussayn, HSY, Jugnu Studios by Hussain Rehar, MIHHA, Mo by Mohsin Tawasuli, Parishae Adnan, Rici Melion, Saira Rizwan, Souchaj by Mehak Junaid and Sania Maskatiya. Meeras by Nilofer Shahid will also feature in an invitation-only presentation

The event will open with LFW Presents: Starry Night, a showcase in which more than 21 designers will each present one look inspired by the night sky

The LFW Hot List, presented in partnership with the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), will feature ten selected capsule collections, including Sarah Kamran’s The Insect of Madonna, Komal Asif’s Mechanica, Hadeeqa Khalid’s Dragons, Mahnoor Ijaz’s Mol: The Daughter’s Worth, Raonaq Rabnawaz Maken’s Amused to Death, Namra Fatima’s Nocturnal Bloom, Muhammad Badar’s Rustem e Punjab, Momina Kashif’s Aks Dar Aks, Alishbah Javed’s Autism Inside Her Spectrum and Zainab Fatima’s The Anatomy of Discomfort.

Two additional segments will broaden the programme beyond individual designer showcases. Building on the Ramp Readiness Programme introduced at the inaugural edition of LAAM Fashion Week, LFW Retail Runway will feature 12 manufacturing-led and retail-ready brands, including Abaan Zohan, Agha Jaan, Allure by Izna Hamza, Allys, Haris N Tehzeeb, Haseens, Khuda Baksh, Malhaar, Maria Osama Khan, Misl, Rang e Haya and Truba.

LFW Edit, meanwhile, will bring together 12 contemporary and high-street labels, among them Almirah, Aramis Haijaan, Beygum Bano, Collected XX, Dhundli Zameen, Dreams of Arthur, Edenrobe Ceremonial, Hathghar, KIBO, Project 1959, Sadhbarg and U&I – Umer Imrana. Several of these labels will make their first major Fashion Week appearance

For Amir Iqbal, Co-Founder & COO, LAAM, the commercial opportunities that follow the shows are just as important as the runway itself

“The runway is only one part of the journey. What matters just as much is how brands connect with customers, how collections translate into commercial opportunities and how designers gain access to wider markets. Season 2 strengthens that runway-to-e-tail model,” he said

Saad Ali, Founder & CEO, Design651, also highlighted the range of businesses and designers represented this season. “The strength of LAAM Fashion Week lies in the breadth of the industry it brings together

From established designers and high-street brands to manufacturing-led businesses and emerging talent, Season 2 reflects a much fuller picture of Pakistani fashion today. Our focus is not simply on putting on shows, but on continuing to raise the standard of how Pakistani fashion is developed, presented and experienced,” he said

The shows will be live-streamed on the LAAM app and website and on a local streaming platform, giving audiences across Pakistan and abroad access to the collections

The programme brings established names, independent labels and emerging designers together, reflecting the different sides of Pakistan’s fashion industry

The question is whether the attention generated on the runway will carry beyond fashion week and help designers reach new customers and markets
