Nykaa to acquire 51% stake in skincare brand Aminu for Rs 32 crore – The Economic Times

Beauty and fashion retailer Nykaa will acquire a 51% stake in Mumbai-based skincare brand Aminu for Rs 32 crore in an all-cash deal, per the company’s stock exchange filing.Nykaa said the brand, which sells products such as serums and sleep oils, operates “in a sizeable high-growth segment” and, “… is among the top premium skincare brands on Nykaa.com in the Rs 1,000-1,900 price range.”.Founded in 2019, the bootstrapped startup clocked Rs 19.5 crore in revenue in FY26, up from Rs 13 crore a year ago.According to Nykaa, spending on beauty and skincare in India is concentrated in the premium sector. “Aminu fits well within that segment and has strong R&D capabilities and an omnichannel distribution,” it said.Nykaa’s beauty segment’s net sales value grew 29% YoY in the June quarter, driven by a strong performance across e-commerce, retail, and the House of Nykaa.Under its House of Nykaa label, the company has beauty brands like Kay Beauty, Dot & Key, Nykaa Cosmetics, and more, which were either acquired or home-grown.Nykaa’s parent FSN E-Commerce reported a net profit of Rs 80 crore in the June quarter of FY27, up from Rs 24 crore a year ago. The company’s operating revenue rose 29% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 2,782 crore in Q1 FY27, up from Rs 2,155 crore a year ago.
