At a hotel where you can get a cakkai’s salon, a facial seems like a fairly reasonable request. Come November, The Mark will finally have a dedicated address for that, too

The Upper East Side hotel is opening its first-ever spa next month, teaming up with Augustinus Bader, the skincare brand behind those famously expensive blue bottles. Officially called The Mark Wellness & Longevity Spa by Augustinus Bader, it will also be the brand’s first dedicated hotel spa in the United States

And yes, New Yorkers can get in on the pampering without checking in

The three-treatment-room space will welcome both hotel guests and locals for the brand’s renowned facials and additional wellness offerings. Expect a treatment menu with considerably more gadgetry than cucumber slices over your eyelids: announced technologies include precision nano-channeling, microcurrent, Biosonix ultrasound, full-spectrum LED and ionized oxygen therapy

The common thread across treatments is Augustinus Bader’s TFC8, the proprietary ingredient technology used in its skincare. The company says it draws on more than 35 years of Professor Augustinus Bader’s research into cellular communication and the body’s regenerative processes. Treatments will pair the products with technology and personalized protocols; the full menu and prices have yet to be announced.

The opening gives The Mark’s existing wellness offerings a dedicated spa counterpart. The hotel already has a 24-hour Technogym fitness center, an in-house personal trainer and in-room massages. Its massive penthouse also has a private gym and an outdoor cold plunge, should your preferred recovery routine require some very expensive real estate

The spa follows a recent restoration of the hotel’s guest rooms and suites, which preserved the interiors by Jacques Grange. The property has long made an art of catering to its guests’ appetites, with Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s restaurant, The Mark Bar, and Cafterward feels only fair.)

There’s no exact November opening date yet, so hold off on planning your post-facial lunch reservation until booking details arrive. But for anyone whose idea of a fall reset involves outsourcing a little maintenance, this is a promising neighborhood addition.A Central Park stroll, a facial and a ca East Side itinerary
